Our Story
A Vision Born from a Vision from The Holy Spirit
The School of World Missions Foundation began with a God-given vision to prepare and send missionaries to the nations. What started as a calling placed on the hearts of ministry leaders would eventually grow into an international effort dedicated to training believers for effective service throughout the world.
22 years ago God gave me this vision: “In the vision at 2:30 am while driving on I-20 through the mountains of Ft Davis Tx. USA: {In the vision I was walking in an Airport Terminal, as I walked out of the airport shops onto a wide hallway, I noticed an electric sidewalk which I followed, as I turned to make sure I would not hit anyone with my luggage, I noticed I was wearing a suit, with a white shirt, a tie, a coat and even with a vest. Which means to me as taught by my pastor in 1985 that it was a sign of seriousness, even holiness. In the vision I kept on walking fast through the electric sidewalk when I heard God say: “Get Ready, you will write many books and will go give conferences in many places far away.”} Back then I had about 3.5 yrs of college. I now have a Bachelors, a Masters and a Doctorate Degrees in Theology and I am working on 43 different books, Indeed God fulfills his promises.
About the same time 22 years ago, my partner in ministry Apostle Leo Castro approached the Colombian Assembles of God national leaders and shared a vision for a school for 150 missionaries, which never happened. Leo’s missionary school vision is now the SWM, I am the architect of this mutual vision.
As of July 2026 I am going on my 31st trip to the nations.

The Beginning
In June 2018, God orchestrated a meeting between Apostle Leo Castro who resided in Chile with pastor Rudy Espinoza during Rudy’s Bible College Institute class in Midland, Texas. During their conversation, Apostle Leo shared the vision that had been placed on his heart years earlier and realized that Dr. Espinoza possessed the experience, curriculum development background, and ministry training necessary and even the building construction experience to help establish and build the intern school.
Building the Foundation
After prayer and careful considerations, the vision began to take shape. Together, ministry leaders, educators, and missionaries developed a comprehensive training program designed to equip believers spiritually, academically, and practically for missionary service.
The School of World Missions was created to provide biblical education, leadership development, evangelism training, discipleship, cultural preparation, and hands-on ministry experience for those called to serve both locally and internationally in the reaching of the lost for the Kingdom of God.

After lots and lots of meetings (which we still do), strategic partnerships, missionary training, and outreach initiatives, The SWM continues to expand its impact across the Americas while preparing future generations of Christian leaders and missionaries and following the leadership of The Holy Spirit to go to Europe, Australia, India and Africa.
A Look Ahead
The vision of SWM extends far beyond a single school. The Foundation seeks to establish a lasting training center in different countries with satellite schools where believers, aspiring missionaries and Church leaders from around the world can receive solid biblical instruction, practical ministry preparation, missionary training and on the field ministerial formation before being sent out to the nations or back to their churches.
As we look toward the future, our commitment remains the same: to equip, train, and empower Christians to fulfill the Great Commission and to share the hope of Christ in many languages, dialects and everywhere The Lord opens a door for us. Note: our Brazilian team wants to share our classes in 100 languages through the internet.
